Event Description: Our Handgun Safety and Fundamentals class is a two-hour event designed to provide students with the ability to safely utilize a semi-automatic pistol. This event begins with one hour of classroom time where we discuss firearm safety, range etiquette, and practice the fundamentals of shooting in a quiet and safe environment. The classroom portion is followed by an hour of instructor-led live fire on the range. We strive to have every attendee safely loading, firing, and unloading their firearm by the end of the night. The event fee covers all necessary supplies, one hour of classroom instruction, one hour of range time, targets, eyes, ears, and a gun rental (if you need it).

Event Attire: Please wear a baseball cap, closed-toe shoes, and a high-neck shirt (i.e. crew neck).

What To Bring:
• Firearm – If you have a firearm, please bring it, and bring ammunition that works in your gun. If you don’t have a firearm – no worries! We’ll have one for you to borrow for the evening.
• Protection – If you don’t have eye protection and electronic ear protection, arrive a little early so we can loan you some for the evening.
• Cash – the fee is $40 for non-members and $30 for members – includes all supplies!

If you are a first-time attendee, please plan to arrive a bit early so you can complete some paperwork. Parking can be a bit difficult as well.

You can save time by filling out the Discount Gun Mart waiver before you come to the range. It can be filled out on a computer or cell phone ahead of time, and is good for one year!

Please remember that we have a maximum number of allowed attendees at this event for safety reasons. We want you to bring friends, but please make sure they fill out the survey above. If they can’t figure that out, have them reach out to Dakota so she can save them a spot. We need an accurate headcount to ensure there is space for everyone who shows up!
